SALVATION

Problem – Sin. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. This verse tells us we are ALL sinners. It doesn’t matter what your position is in life, how much money you make, how big your house is, or who you know. We all have a problem with sin.

Penalty – Death. “For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23 This verse explains the payment or wages of sin is death.

Provision – Substitution. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. Christ died for us. He paid the penalty for our sin! When He died on the cross and arose three days later, He not only defeated the grave, but provided us a way back to Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Promise – Salvation. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13. When you confess that you are a sinner and believe in your heart that Christ died for you, that He arose from the dead, and that He has forgiven you of your sins, you shall be saved!

Sample prayer: “Dear Lord, I realize that I am a lost sinner. Please forgive my sins. I now by faith alone receive you, Jesus as my personal Savior. Thank you Lord for saving me as you promised. Amen!”

Permanence – Security. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28. Once you are saved, you can never lose your salvation!

Profession – Identification. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10

Progress – Church. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is.” Hebrews 10:25. Once you are saved, you are part of the family of God. The family of God meets together for accountability, fellowship, and encouragement.

Purpose – Service. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God heath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10. We all have gifts that God has given to us. Some are called to teach, others the gift of singing or playing the piano. We all have a part in God’s family and place where we can serve Him.
